They called her into life
because when she smiled,
carbon fell cold under pressure
and rain soared, upwards
over the trestle of green.

They called him sweet, for
places where he walked
spread lines of white powder
and vines tore open,
through each caulked step ahead.

Its name was chocolate
because their lips curled and
the gold fled
and died within,
its arsenic edge proven
in his giddy overturning
and in the bounding of
her long lupus haunches.

Just a simple piece.

I'm conflicted over whether to change "bounding" to "boarding" in the last stanza, but, I'll let it sit for now.

This one is kind of about assassination attempts, the importance of drinks, like nectar and wine, to each of their backgrounds. Kind of. And kind of about control freaks and power trips. Kind of. And kind of about breaking down.
Featuring Bran Faventinus and Vivian Odinsson.
I doubt they would ever meet in canon, but if they ever did, they could learn a bit from each other, about death, and wildness, and loyalty, and immunity.
Unless he decided she was an invader and had her executed, or she lost control of her senses and mauled him in the night. Or that. That could happen.
